Acting


Alia Ettienne began acting in her teenage years after attending drama class in high school. At the age of fifteen she began attending the Bcurrent Summer Arts Program after her first acting audition. She then moved on to do multiple arts programs across Toronto such as Children’s Peace Theatre and A.M.Y Project. 

After completing high school she participated in the Paprika Festival then attended Sheridan College as a part of their Performing Arts program studying acting, vocals and movement. In 2016 she performed and self produced debut her pieceYellowZoned in The Toronto Fringe Festival. The piece was then remounted at the Hamilton,ON Staircase Theatre. 

Most recently she has participated in multiple experimental cabarets and theatre festivals within the GTA including the MindPlay Theatre Festival, Piece of Mine Theatre Festival, RAW Toronto Artist Showcase and the Paprika/Thespo collaboration CosmoCabaret.

She has worked with companies such as Canadian Stage, Toronto Fringe Festival and Theatre Passe Maurielle.
